How does your diet become You? How can it affect your good looks down to your health status?

What exactly is diet?
Diet in nutrition, is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism.The word diet often implies the use of specific intake of nutrition for health or weight-management reasons (with the two often being related).

We have different kinds of diet from all over the World such as the Mediterranean diet which consists of fish, leafy greens, olive oil, and fruit which does amazing wonders to the body. Other diets might include high protein-low carbohydrate diet, Raw diet etc.

How does your diet affect your looks / skin tone? 
The fact is that you can eat your way to fabulous skin by eating a rainbow of colorful vegetables at least 5 portions a day. Fruit and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants that help to protect skin from the cellular damage caused by free radicals.
Free radicals, smoking, pollution and sunlight and can cause wrinkling and age spots.  Beta carotene, found in carrots, sweet potatoes and pumpkin, and lute-in, found in kale, papaya and spinach are potent antioxidants, important for normal skin cell development and healthy skin tone.

Eating a lot of nuts, taking vitamin C in form of oranges and consuming oily fish with omega 3 fatty acids has been found to be great for the body skin tone.  Adding such food items as carrots, apricots, and sweet potatoes, spinach and other dark green and leafy vegetables, tomatoes,blueberries,whole-wheat bread, brown rice and turkey can make a whole lot of different in your  skin appearance giving it a beautiful glow.

Poor diet is the is the biggest contributor to early deaths across the world, a study has warned.
Poor eating habits include under- or over-eating, not having enough of the healthy foods we need each day, or consuming too many types of food and drink, which are low in fiber or high in fat, salt and/or sugar.

Experts said 21 per cent of global deaths can be attributed to diets high in red meat and sugary drinks, and lacking in fruit, vegetables and wholegrains.

Eating unhealthily contributes to the most deaths worldwide by triggering ailments including heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

Not only does a healthy diet help prevent heart disease, but it may also aid in the prevention of type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and even cancer. An unhealthy diet may also cause nutrient deficiencies, which are particularly common in those who do not meet daily calorie requirements.

More importantly, having a good diet is essential for good health whether we choose to be vegetarians or not. Good diet promotes good health which in turn promotes good looks. Whatever diet we may be on at the moment  perhaps  a "weight loss Diet"  always remember to add essential fruits and veggies that will promote good health .
